Just an interesting article I found from ProWein 2010 discussing how the five New World countries of Argentina, Chile, California, New Zealand and South Africa took the unusual step to market jointly at ProWein partly due to frustration with their lack of influence at VinExpo in Bordeaux. They decided more than a year ago to join forces at ProWein to gain more attention. Essentially these competitors called a truce to jointly promote their wines to export markets around the world. Which I think they did a successful job of at ProWein, something that may make the Old World-ers shake in their boots. If you have a few minutes I would recommend you read this article. Go New World! Rock the wine world!!
