My afternoon was supposed to just consist of a sneak preview of the movie “The Help”.
Instead it went something like this …
2010 Blend of Verdejo & Viura grapes called “El Hada” from Rueda, Spain. ~ Crisp and refreshing on these hot Texas summer days with aromas of a bowl full of citrus and stone fruits, a hint of melon, herbal and mineral notes.
“Kick Ass” Chicken Wings
and Blue Chips (homemade potato chips covered in blue cheese, bacon, chives, and happiness :)
Pulled Pork Stuffed Peppers aka “OMG I WANT TWENTY OF THESE”
White Chocolate Bead Pudding aka “Mortal Sin On A Plate”
I was just supposed to meet my parents at the wine bar, Max’s Wine Dive, for some quick wine and apps before the movie sneak peak … but all the above was all part of the VIP treatment we received from the head Chef James Moore, the server Alex, and the assistant GM also named Alex. They basically twisted our arms into eating this delicious and temptation-filled food and then somehow hypnotized us into coming back out tomorrow for the beginning of a series of wine events called Le Tour du Vin. Instead of explainging, let me just show you the flyer …
The Passport is the way to go if you can make it out for each of those wine tastings, but if you can only make it to a few, then you can just pay as you go :) If you want to join your lovable Ceci Sipper and her parents tomorrow at Max’s Wine Dive for the American leg of this Le Tour du Vin … come on out and join us! I would love to see your gorgeous Vinously Speaking faces!
See you tomorrow!
P.S. The above link allows you to purchase tickets online, but feel free to pay at the door!
