Ch-Ch-Ch Champagne Face!
That’s it folks….my Champagne face.
Ha ha ha ha ha
If that is not the most awesome Champagne face, then I don’t know what it.
Lady Gaga and her Poker Face ain’t got nothin’ on me!!!
So I am back from the depths of Stomach Virus Land. It was not pretty… and even worse than the actual virus was the fact that I was wine-less for about 2 weeks….that is worse than taking away a pacifier from a baby! Way worse!
But no worries, I still have to slowly introduce complex foods back into my diet, but I am back to my wine drinking self!
Last we left off…I promised you pictures from the Independent Winemaker’s Expo in Reims, France. If you missed the video posting from that entry, here is the link.
Hope you enjoy!
We got to “taste the wines from the most young to the most old”
Well at least we attempted to taste as many as we could.
See all the tasting stations lined up!! It was a wine buffet! And this was just one row out of hundreds!
No wine tasting is complete without loads of french cheese!!!
Now, I don’t like chocolate, but I had to take this photo to tease my chocoholic sister!
My sister would be in heaven!!

A Brittany/Bretagne specialty food booth! Brittany/Bretagne is the north-western corner of France and is a lot like the Texas of France!! Even the same die hard pride and spirit of it too!!
My native Bretagne Boyfriend!! Quelle Chance! (What luck!)
Only the coolest Champagne table at the Expo!!! Champagne Aspasie!!!

Passed down for five generations, Remi Ariston along with his son, Paul-Vincent (shown in photo above), are following two centuries of champagne making dating back to the founding of their family champagne house in 1794. We spoke with Paul-Vincent for quite sometime! He was so much fun to talk with! He made us feel like we were VIP!! He also spoke with us about his recent visit to the US and how he was able to have an extra special visit to the White House and even got an up close and personal viewing of President Obama through a guest who had toured the Champagne Aspasie house last summer. That guest happened to work in the White House and had the hookups for Paul-Vincent! It pays to treat your customers like real people and to make them feel valuable…because they ARE!!! Way to go Champagne Aspasie and Paul-Vincent! Way to represent. Bravo! More people in the wine world need to follow your example! For anyone out there who works in the wine industry: don’t be snooty, snobby, or stuck up, nobody likes it. Be real, be sincere, and above all …. put a smile on your customer’s face. The reward will be tremendous. The wine world is for everyone and we have to make them feel that way!
Ok, I’m off my soapbox now =)
Famous Catherdral in Reims!! Isn’t it breathtaking!!
I don’t know if it is appropriate to call a church “chunky”…bit it is no?
